JIMMY CHOO ACADEMY ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL LFW SHOW WITH ITS PREMIER MA GRADUATE DESIGNERS

SCROLL

Jimmy Choo’s Mayfair-based JCA education centre has just revealed its plan to host an inaugural London Fashion Week catwalk on the evening of September 19 alongside its designer-in-residence and sustainability ambassador, Patrick McDowell. Cultivating creativity and championing professional working, the JCA show is set to open with the uncanny SS23 collection from Patrick McDowell – inspired by the “let them eat cake” orientation of Marie Antoinette and juxtaposed with his own Liverpudlian background – the MA students will follow in close procession. At the show you can expect to see Melissa Kate’s demi-couture Hollywood glam, Annabelle Barton’s Size-A for petite women, Maryam Orchid’s Caribbean-inspired luxury footwear, Angels Wear Nada’s upcycled denim by Noon Khouri, and Sophie Park’s plant-based shoes. Following the showcase, a commemorative party will commence interwoven between an exhibition of student work across three storeys of the JCA’s Grade I period building and historical site, at 20 Hanover square.
