We are pleased to announce that JCA London Fashion Academy has now introduced its scholarships for the September 2024 intake. The scholarships will consist of three programs from the below, where you will need to have accepted our offer letter to meet the criteria.
For the community service/leadership scholarship applicants must show financial letters/ documentation that show Household income, or personal income if living alone. We may use forms such as a maintenance loan from student finance to see further assessment.
You must submit a 500-word (minimum) essay detailing your hardships and circumstances explaining the challenges you have had to overcome and outlining your educational and career goals. This allows the scholarship committee to evaluate the applicant's resilience and determination.
• Community Involvement: Applicants are invited to detail their engagement in community service, volunteer work, or other activities. This demonstrates their commitment to making a positive impact, even in the face of adversity.
• Extracurricular Involvement: We encourage applicants to outline their participation in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, or volunteer efforts. This highlights their dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion.
• Letters of Recommendation: We require one letter of recommendation from teachers, counsellors, employers, or community leaders who can attest to the applicant's character, achievements, and potential for success despite adversity.
• Documentation: Certificates of participation, proof of community/volunteer work within 1-2 years.

For the Merit / Talent-based scholarship you will need to provide a 500-word (minimum) written essay which should focus on financial need, some programs will also consider applicants' academic achievements, such as grades and marks in subjects.
This allows the scholarship committees to understand the applicant's story and evaluate their resilience and determination. You will need to demonstrate the following:
• Portfolio/Project pictures that demonstrate talent/skills
• Letters of Recommendation: 1 letter of recommendation from teachers, who can attest to the applicant's character, achievements, and potential for success despite adversity.
• Documentation: Past awards, certificates etc.
Please make sure that while submitting your application you provide all the relevant documentation to verify what you have written in your scholarship letter such as a portfolio and projects.

To be eligible for this scholarship you will need to provide a 500-word (minimum) written essay which should talk about the hardships you have overcome and your current/ previous circumstances which will need to consist of the following:
• Family/Financial circumstances which could include any of the following: Family member/members with a medical condition, household poverty, domestic violence, or financial issues which could be because of a low-income family, bankruptcy etc.
• Personal Challenges such as homelessness, foster care system, mental health, drugs fuelled environment etc.
• Medical Conditions such as a disability which could impact your daily life, medical condition that affects your daily life and education which may lead to you being a part-time student/ impact your ability to afford higher education.
Please make sure that while submitting your application you provide all the relevant documentation to verify what you have written in your scholarship letter such as medical documentation, tax returns, letters to the council, social worker/case worker etc.
