Monique Lee Hylands-White is a distinguished fashion entrepreneur, designer, curator, and a dedicated, seasoned educator, boasting significant leadership roles in academia since 2014. Prior to assuming the position of Director of Programmes and Executive member at JCA | London Fashion Academy, she held the role of Principal Lecturer and Fashion subject leader at Coventry University London. In this capacity, she led the strategic development and upheld the quality assurance standards for six undergraduate and postgraduate courses, encompassing fashion PR, communication, management, and marketing.

Moreover, Monique has contributed as a visiting lecturer at esteemed institutions including London College of Fashion, Shih Chien University, and Birmingham City University. Her extensive teaching portfolio spans across various courses, embracing subjects such as fashion and retail management, fashion design, fashion accessory design, textile design, surface design, fashion styling, fashion promotion, and textile retail management. Additionally, she held the esteemed position of International Scholar at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology.

Over the past two decades, Monique has cultivated a global footprint. Having completed her MA in Fashion Design and Technology, specialising in womenswear, from London College of Fashion in 2006, her professional journey encompasses diverse roles such as involvement in sportswear and intelligent garment research, trend forecasting, branding, PR, marketing, design, and management for international fashion brands. She manages 40 active social media accounts, boasting a following of over 100,000+ individuals. Her consultancy work has focused on specialising in international fashion collaboration projects with HEAD China's London branch and the Chinese luxury department store chain e-commerce site Yintai.com.

In 2013, Monique launched Monique Lee Millinery, known for her bold and experimental approach to hat design. Her creations have graced more than 250 magazine editorials, blogs, websites, and newspapers, featuring alongside renowned artists such as Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones in publications including VOGUE, Vanity Fair (commissioned for Emma Watson's cover story shot by Tim Walker, and Kate McKinnon, shot by Annie Leibovitz, Nov 2017), Tatler, L'Officiel, Brides, Another, Schon!, Independent, Evening Standard, Superior, Hat Magazine, HUF, Tirade, NO.3, On Feature, Racing Fashion, and more.

Recognised for her talent, Monique was selected as a finalist by VOGUE Italia Senior Editor/Talent Editor Sara Maino in MUUSE x VOGUE Talents Young Vision Accessories Award. She secured the People's Choice Award in VOGUE VTalents competition in 2014 and was chosen as one of the eight official milliners alongside Philip Treacy OBE and Stephen Jones OBE for Royal Ascot Millinery Collective 2018. Notably, she was commissioned by 20th Century Fox to craft 20 hats representing unique characters in the celebrated film The Greatest Showman. Her collections have been exhibited at Copenhagen Fashion Week, London Hat Week, Shanghai Fashion Week, Candid Arts Trust in London, Birmingham Made Me Design Expo, along with Harvey Nichols, MG and Aston Martin, at MAC Birmingham.

Her creations, tailored for fashionistas, models, and private clients at Royal Ascot Royal Enclosure, garnered attention from racegoers and the press, including features in publications such as Royal Ascot, The Guardian, The Times, Evening Standard, The Independent, Telegraph, Sunday Mercury, and over 40 other media outlets. Monique also collaborates with fashion designers, creating hats for fashion week runway shows and presentations.

She has forged collaborations with esteemed partners such as Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, Dorchester Collection Coworth Park Hotel and Spa, Birmingham City Council for Chelsea Flower Show, and Le BHV MARIS. Her hat designs have graced showcases at London Fashion Week,

Copenhagen Fashion Week, Shanghai Fashion Week, Sotheby’s London, the Louvre, and EXPO Milano.

In 2014, Monique founded X Terrace, a fashion platform aimed at supporting fashion talents and independent brands. The company consistently delivered remarkable experiences to London's fashion aficionados, establishing partnerships for catwalk shows at Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard and multiple shows and presentations with Italian fashion brand PINKO. Recent collaborations include esteemed entities like SJH Group, Rolls Royce, and the Bentley Enthusiasts Club, enabling the showcasing of talented designers at the grand London Press Ball, held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London in Mayfair. Throughout her journey, Monique has curated 20 successful showcases and exhibitions, organised 7 pop-up shops, and hosted 6 opening parties in London, Paris, and Shanghai. To date, 1370 press, 11,000 visitors, and 1385 brands have participated in events curated by Monique.

In 2020, she ventured into the digital sphere by launching her first e-commerce website, The Hat Circle, dedicated to milliners and hat enthusiasts. The platform currently hosts 205 members and showcases over 1200 exquisite hats. Expanding on this success, in March 2021, she introduced The Accessory Circle, offering remarkable fashion, home accessories, and beauty items from around the world. Maintaining her commitment to captivating events, she inaugurated "London Accessory Week" in 2021, a week celebrating enchanting designs where attendees immerse themselves in the world of unique accessories.
