One of the most heard questions at the academy has been “what do I need in my portfolio?” We have developed this comprehensive A-Z of fashion portfolio prep course to answer all those questions and erase the anxiety from the portfolio process. This course introduces you to what you will need to do to build an amazing fashion portfolio that will give you the edge when you are applying for fashion study. You will work on a set fashion portfolio project that will involve investigating work in museums and galleries to collect inspiration and research materials. This will be the basis of your project and help you develop design pages and presentation board for your portfolio. This course will give you an understanding of creative practice and show you the nature of teaching style at JCA. This course gives you the opportunity to prepare for interview within the creative studies with a portfolio critique with one of our higher education specialists upon request. This is valuable feedback for potential entry into one of our degree programmes. You will receive a branded JCA portfolio to hold, transport and display your achievements of the course and be ready for that next stage of learning.

Project Portfolio will be running throughout the week of dedicated studio time. Your understanding of what is needed within a portfolio for presentation for further fashion, or Creative studies will be not only created through this short course but also your confidence in the relevance of the portfolio and how you will be using it and content during the interview process.
Out trips to galleries and museums are part of the creative process within the creation of portfolio prep, these are scheduled within your in-studio session time. Gaining further education, and methods of communication from the production of these valuable trips.
